Born in St. Louis and raised in Chicago, she has successfully worked in the entertainment industry for more than a decade.

As a standup comic, her performances are featured on a wide variety of televised comedy shows. She recently, independently released her first hour special “A Fraction of the Truth”. As a comedian, she manages to movingly joke about a range of vulnerable and timely topics, including being a parent to two young adults, dating in the age of social media and other cultural oddities. When it comes to her comedy, she isn’t shy about being a strong, successful black woman who faces everyday struggles with a smile. She has performed in front of hundreds of audiences across the world. Fraction’s unique story telling style resonates with her listeners helping them escape reality through laughter and amusement.

While her comedy style is authentic, bold and blazing on stage, Vanessa’s hilariously fresh personality and insightful spin on trending topics, entertainment headlines and pop culture can be seen or heard as she frequently sits in as a panelist, guest host or talking head for national radio and television shows such as Dish Nation (FOX) and Windy City Live (ABC-Chicago). Her comedic style combined with her passion to make people laugh has enabled her to be a force to be reckoned with in the comedy world.

To “sum” it all up Vanessa Fraction is One Very Funny Lady
